In August 2022, ILAC is operating its first official IELTS test in the city of Dawson Creek, British Columbia. The test will take place at the Northern Lights College, Dawson Creek campus.
This new venue, operated by ILAC Vancouver – The International Language Academy of Canada – and delivered with IDP Education, adds another testing location to the school’s growing network of offsite venues in Canada. ILAC currently operates the largest network of official IELTS venues in British Columbia and is currently also expanding its network in Ontario.
The test centre’s goal is to provide more accessible tests to many new immigrants and residents living outside of metropolitan areas; many need the language test for applications to Canadian higher education institutions and IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
The new venue at Dawson Creek will offer paper-based tests for both the IELTS General Training and IELTS Academic test types. Tests will continue to run in Dawson Creek throughout 2022, depending on demand. Online registration is now open for the first test, taking place on Saturday, 20 August 2022.
